Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The Statement of Purpose from the  bill read:

To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been  championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S., and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

Astonishingly, 46 of our United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

Dear Senator Harkin,

As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for only three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2008 and 2009.

Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as 'in-state' tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me, given that I still have college age children driving my car.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance

THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE GOVERNMENT'S CALCULATION OF AVAILABLE SOCIAL SECURITY IS THEY FORGOT TO FIGURE IN THE PEOPLE WHO DIED BEFORE THEY EVER COLLECTED A SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK!!!

WHERE DID THAT MONEY GO?

Remember, not only did you and I contribute to Social Security but your employer did, too. It totaled 15% of your income before taxes. If you averaged only $30K over your working life, that's close to $220,500. Read that again. Did you see where the Government paid in one single penny? We are talking about the money you and your employer put in a Government bank to insure you and I that we would have a retirement check from the money we put in, not the Government. Now they are calling the money we put in an entitlement when we reach the age to take it back. If you calculate the future invested value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer's contribution) at a simple 5% interest (less than what the govt. pays on the money that it borrows), after 49 years of working you'd have $892,919.98.

If you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $26,787.60 per year and it would last better than 30 years (until you're 95 if you retire at age 65) and that's with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit! If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you'd have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month.

Another thing with me.... I have two deceased husbands who died in their 50's, (one was 51 and the other one was 59 before one percent of their social security could be drawn. I worked all my life and am drawing 100% on my own social security). Their S.S. money will never have one cent drawn from what they paid into S.S all their lives.

THE FOLKS IN WASHINGTON HAVE PULLED OFF A BIGGER PONZI SCHEME THAN BERNIE MADOFF EVER DID.

Entitlement my foot, I paid cash for my social security insurance! Just because they borrowed the money for other government spending, doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout!!

Remember Congressional benefits? --- free healthcare, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days. Now that's welfare, and they have the nerve to call my social security retirement payments entitlements?

We're "broke" and we can't help our own seniors, Veterans, Orphans, or Homeless. Yet in the last few months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile and Turkey. And now Pakistan......home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed S.S. income' receive no additional federal aid nor do they get any financial breaks, while our government and religious organizations pour hundreds of billions of $$$ and tons of food to foreign countries!

They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives, and now, when it's time for us to collect, the government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place? It was supposed to be in a locked box, not part of the general fund.

Sad isn't it?

99% of people won't have the guts to forward this. I'm in the 1% -- I just did.

Please advise the status of MX.  As you know, your attorney, (Dan Perry) who protects only the BOD and not the residents, has collected a substantial about of money, from Residents; to date, we are unaware of a case being filed, yet the collection process goes on. Is this just a joke and a way for your attorney to scam money from residents?

If you were doing your due diligence, you would have sourced another attorney, that would have informed you that this process has been blown out of portion and is just another scam.

You were advised last year, by our committee; that the $550,000 spent on road repair, would be ineffective and that it would have to be redone the following year for the same or greater cost, since it only addressed a symptom vice the cause of our failing road system.

Additionally, roadways not addressed continued to further decline. 

You had an opportunity, while the developer was still here, to address this major construction failure, legally.   Yet, based upon two CCD members, you failed to do so as a result of the private, financial and personal agendas with the developer.

Is it possible that you are interested enough in this community now, to now listen to an asphalt company with solid credentials, take their advice and implement, before, you bankrupt this community.

This note is in response to an anonymous, harassing letter I received from 16 of your golf members, (copy provided below) which I have turned over to the Sheriff’s office for finger printing, identification and prosecution.  

This anonymous letter from cowards highlights the extent of their arrogance and disregard for private property.  I request that golf members who are caught trespassing, be removed from future play and banned from play at the Lake Ashton Golf course and that they lose any and all membership fees.  

Please post this anonymous harassing letter in conjunction with this letter. 

You and your golf course players need to read, understand and heed, the below article; I will hold both the Trespasser and the Golf Course accountable, when players trespass into my property. Ignorance is no excuse.  

As you know, I have been in contact with you for some time now and you have done nothing, as I can ascertain, to instruct your members accordingly.  

Please post this letter in your spaces so that EVERY Golfer can be made aware.

No home owner should have to tolerate people walking all over ones property, in between homes, not to mention those who look/glare, ‘peak’ into windows etc ..

Summary of article:  NOTE:  TRESPASS; GOLF COURSES:  Recurrent entry of golf balls onto Homeowners’ property constitutes a continuing trespass.  There is no viable "House on the Golf Course" defense.   You can't claim the owner was asking for it when he bought that beautiful house on the 12th fairway.  Also, the existence of property insurance is NEVER determinative in assessing liability.  You can’t even mention the existence of an insurance policy in court except as evidence to establish ownership.  There are no ifs and or buts about it, if you break someone’s window with your golf ball… run away like a child and deny it was you… I mean break out your checkbook and pony up.

I represent a group of 16 golfers, who play almost daily, on the Lake Ashton
courses.

We have noticed that very often, as we play the 16th hole of The East
Course, your lawn sprinklers are running, in direct violation of Southwest
Florida Water Management District water restrictions. Since this seems to
be an ongoing practice, on your part, we feel it is our responsibility to report
each and every such violation to the proper authorities.

We recognize that you have the right to irrigate on Thursdays and
Sundays before 10:00 AM and after 4:00 PM, and we will certainly ignore
irrigation usage during those windows. But for all other days, your violations
will be promptly reported.

We hope that you will take this as merely a "heads-up" and conform to the
requirements of the city, for the good of all residents.

Former Mayor Jack Van Sickle, a long time supporter of John Paul Rogers, (Rodgers was a lifelong member of the KKK and was the former Grand Dragon of Florida), is now, once again, attempting to seek the position of Mayor of Lake Wales. 

This is an outrage since the citizens of Lake Wales spoke, no shouted, by an 84%, to remove Jack Van Sickle from Lake Wales City Commission service.

How can this be you ask?  After all, the largest voting turnout in the history of Lake Wales demanded the ousting of Jack Van Sickle from city government by 84%.

In a Ledger article announcing his cadency for Lake Wales Mayor, http://www.theledger.com/article/20130215/NEWSCHIEF/130219583, extensively mentions his on-going health challenges yet barely mentions why the people of Lake Wales voted him out of office in the first place.

Let’s recap Mr. Van Sickle’s record:

·      Jack Van Sickle, a long time supporter of John Paul Rogers, a known Grand Dragon in the United Klan’s of America the most violent and largest Klan organization of its time. Van Sickle has equated John Paul Rogers’s affiliation with the Klan to that of someone having had several speeding tickets in ones past.  Really?  Do you know that Van Sickle’s supporters CHEERED when he made this comparison!

·      During his tenure as Mayor, over $600,000 dollars was stolen from Lake Wales city funds; Van Sickle was a person of interest in the case – this case has yet to be solved.

·      Van Sickle increased the City of Lake Wales’s Debt from $25.5 Million Dollars to over $35 Million Dollars

·      Van Sickle’s plan to pay off $2 Million Dollars (from the Cities Reserve Fund), not only drains the drains the reserve fund but does little to pay the interest on the current 35 Million Dollar deficit. At the end of 9 years the City will be facing over a $50 Million dollar deficit, just on interest of the $35 Million alone.

·      To give you an idea how ‘fiscally conservative’ Van Sickle is, he wasted over $200,000 dollars on a project that surveyed a parking lot of which nothing could ever be built there. 

·      Van Sickle did NOTHING to address the failing infrastructure that includes the City’s sewer system that constantly fails and overflows into the streets and resident’s homes.

·      In over 8 years of Commission service, Van Sickle did little to address the worsening economic situation that the City of Lake Wales has been facing for many years.

·      Van Sickle, like his buddy John Paul Rodgers, are betting that the people of Lake Wales have short memories and that new comers to the area remain totally uniformed about his record and questionable affiliations with members of the KKK and the former Grand Dragon, John Paul Rodgers. 

·      Van Sickle went to great lengths to explain his health challenges YET has never apologized for his long time affiliation and support of Grand Dragon John Paul Rodgers. 

Lake Wales needs real leadership and not a continuation of the ‘Good Ol Boy’ network.

Vote for Eugene l. Fultz, a REAL leader with experience that Lake Wales needs.
