Donna,

I noticed in your article "Ethics Commission clears official of wrongdoing" that “…The ethics complaint against the mayor was filed March 7 by former Dundee Mayor Kevin Kitto..”

Did you know that on 19 January 2012, Mr. Kevin Kitto, as the President of the Dundee Area Chamber of Commerce, assaulted the Chamber’s Executive Director, Lisa Brewer?  That a 911 called was made and Sgt Davis was the first officer to respond.

See public record
Person Served: KITTO, KEVIN
Current Status: Served
Date Received: 01/27/12
Service Desc: ORDER SETTING HEARING ON PETITION FOR INJUNCTION
Defendant: KEVIN KITTO
Plaintiff: LISA M BREWER
Court: CIRCUIT/POLK
Attorney: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/CLERK OF COURT
Date Assigned: 01/27/12
# of Services: 1

The hearing was conducted on 8 February 2012 by Judge Spoto, and found in favor of Mrs. Lisa Brewer.

In terms of workplace violence, the law requires two assaults / incidents to have occurred prior an issuance of a restraining order.

The Judge granted Mrs Brewer’s request to dismiss the case AND to allow the petition to remain active in case there is any future subsequent workplace violence by Mr. Kitto against Mrs. Brewer.

Since Mr. Kitto is so concerned about Ethic Violations pertaining to others, shouldn’t he be concerned about his own Ethical miss-conduct?
