Medical Complaints Gather Dust in FL

A good artical in The Ledger, http://www.theledger.com/article/20131019/NEWS/131019033/0/search?tc=ar, a must read for anyone living in FL regarding the poor quality of doctors practicing in the state.

Anyone who moves from out of State to Florida, one of the first priorities is to find good doctors.  While I am NOT a clinician, I have had my share of health issues and developed a criteria to assess doctors, or any professional for that matter; my criteria is based upon a doctor's/professional's: Knowledge, Skill and Judgement.

A quick way to discern if your physician's Knowledge, Skill and Judgement is weak, is if she/he ALWAYS sends you to some OTHER clinician in order for her/him to make 'their' medical assessment.  In short, if your doctor is more concerned about 'protecting' themselves and 'their' practice, RUN!

Additionally, if your 'doctor' requires you to discuss only 2 issues with them at any one time, thus requiring you to book additional appointments to discuss the other issues/symptoms. Think about this for a moment, not only is such a practice defrauding your insurance company but many health issues can present numerous issues/symptoms and if your 'doctor' is only willing to consider part or 2 symptoms from the total symptoms presenting, and yet makes a diagnosis based on only two of the total symptoms, is your health concern really being understood and addressed properly?  I think not.

So, if you see a sign such this - RUN!!!

The following are doctors/clinicians whom I have found that I can recommend with confidence.  I hope this is helpful.
